    Hong Kong Alumni Scholarship at the University College London

    These scholarships support undergraduate study at UCL, with one scholarship awarded each year, named after the foundation funding it for that year.

    Eligibility Criteria of Hong Kong Alumni Scholarship:

    1. Must be holders of Hong Kong Permanent Identity Cards or Chinese citizens who have received full-time education in Hong Kong and/or China for at least five of the eight years before starting study at UCL, and have applied through UCAS for full-time undergraduate studies (excluding the six-year MBBS/BSc Medicine course).
    2. Must not be currently attending any schools in the UK or enrolled at UCL, and must be liable to pay overseas tuition fees.
    3. Must demonstrate financial need and be unable to fund their planned studies without assistance, and must not have received any other scholarships or bursaries.
    4. Must be willing to volunteer at UCL, the UCL Hong Kong Club, and/or the UCL Scholarship Hong Kong Foundation during and after their studies.

    Selection Criteria: 

    1. Scholarships are awarded based on academic excellence, financial need, and any other relevant criteria, which applicants must demonstrate in their application.
    2. Shortlisted applicants, with parental consent, will be invited by the UCL Scholarship Hong Kong Foundation to submit supporting financial documents, including bank statements, tax assessments, home ownership/tenancy evidence, and details of any bursaries or scholarships received.
    3. Interviews are held in Hong Kong, usually in July/August, and applicants invited for an interview must attend at their own expense.

    Application Process: 

    1. Applicants must submit a completed application form, a family financial resources summary spreadsheet, and arrange for an academic referee to complete the reference form. It is recommended to review the financial resources spreadsheet first to assess eligibility.
    2. The family financial resources spreadsheet, application form, and reference form can be downloaded from the provided links. Applicants must include a valid UCL Student Number for their application to be considered.
    3. All completed forms and any queries regarding the application process should be submitted via email to the UCL Scholarships Hong Kong Foundation at uclhksf@gmail.com.

    Award: The scholarship will provide up to GBP 20,000 per year toward tuition fees for a maximum of four years.
